Ingredients

Frozen fruit base
  • 3 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1 can (12 oz) frozen pineapple juice concentrate
  • 0.25 cup water
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar Optional, for extra sweetness.
  • 0.25 cup maraschino cherry Optional topping.

Equipment

  • 1 food processor

Method

Blend the strawberry dole whip
  1. Add frozen strawberries, frozen pineapple juice concentrate, and water to a food processor. Blend for about 30–60 seconds until smooth and thick with a soft-serve consistency, scraping down once if needed.
  2. Add powdered sugar if you want it sweeter. Blend again for 10–20 seconds just to combine, keeping the mixture bright pink and creamy.
Serve immediately
  1. Spoon the blended soft-serve into serving cups or cones. Tap the sides lightly so the swirl settles and looks even.
  2. Top with a maraschino cherry if desired. Serve immediately for the best thick, scoopable texture.

Notes

For a thicker, more swirl-ready texture, use very-frozen strawberries and blend until the mixture holds soft peaks; if it seems icy, blend a bit longer rather than adding more liquid. Storage: serve right away for best consistency; it can be refrigerated up to 1 day but will firm and lose soft-serve texture—freeze not recommended. Dietary swap: this is already dairy-free, so you can keep it dairy-free by using the recommended pineapple concentrate.
